For private bookings, park admission and the airboat ticket are paid directly at the venue (typically $30-40 per adult) — the fare covers transportation only, with door-to-door pickup and your own vehicle waiting at the park.
The Everglades is a 1.5-million-acre subtropical wetland — the famous “River of Grass” — stretching across South Florida. Day-trippers from Miami visit Everglades Holiday Park (21940 Griffin Rd, Fort Lauderdale), where airboats run every 20-30 minutes through the sawgrass marshes. You’ll see alligators, herons, anhingas, and (depending on the season) roseate spoonbills.
This is NOT Everglades National Park (which is much further south near Homestead). Holiday Park is closer to Miami, operates on a faster schedule, and bundles park admission with the airboat ride at the ticket window.
Plan for about 5 to 6 hours total from pickup to drop-off, give or take traffic and how long you spend exploring the park grounds.
Morning pickups (8:30-9:30 AM from Miami Beach) are recommended — you’ll be back in Miami by mid-afternoon, leaving your evening free for South Beach.
